THE launch of the latest moves from Les Mills International group (Les Mills) of choreographed workouts at Fitness Zone’s branch in Kiulap concluded on a high note recently.

The four-day event saw more than 500 participants comprising members and non-members of the fitness club sweating it out to the latest beats of classes such as BodyJam and BodyCombat.

“We are really glad that people are getting more conscious of their health,” said General Manager Del Mesina Alfaro in a press statement on the increase number of participation. She added, “We are very happy to see such an enthusiastic environment. You can feel the energy of the crowd! This only inspires us to keep on encouraging people to push forward and to level up through fitness.”

For those who have missed out on the October activities, which were also in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the club has numerous events for members of the public to take part in this month.

Shelley Busque, executive assistant of managing director Wu Chun, said,” We will be having a Breast Cancer Awareness related talk with Lilli Yong from Lilli Lingerie on November 8 at The All Women’s Club.” She added, “We are also really excited for our upcoming Berakas Beach Clean Up Drive 2015 on November 14. This time we are collaborating with Beach Bunch.” The local non-governmental organisation has a vision of keeping the sultanate’s beaches clean and enjoyable for all.

“The ultimate goal of this Clean Up Drive is to encourage and educate Bruneians on the role of taking care of our environment and how it can make great impact and benefit our health,” said the executive assistant, who added that the drive would especially be beneficial for the younger generation in doing their part for the community and the environment.

To be a part of the cleanup, register online at or call Kiulap branch at 223 3338 or The All Women’s Club at 244 8488. Participants will receive exclusive gifts from Fitness Zone and its sponsors.
