KATOK Sixth Form Centre (PTEK) held a Family Day celebration in conjunction with this years National Family Day that was themed “Keluargaku, Harapanku” (My Family, My Hope), yesterday, at the school’s premises.The event was also supported by Fitness Zone.

Present at the event as guest of honour were Principal of PTEK, Hjh Rosni Hj Muhd Amin and making a special appearance to show his support was Managing Director of Fitness Zone Wu Chun.

Students and their families participated in a number of healthy and family-oriented activities that focused on creating a wholesome and healthy lifestyle for them. Health talks and other activities such as Body Jam class, Sh’Bam class, an athletic boot camp and a relay race were organised and conducted by PTEK in collaboration with Fitness Zone.

“PTEK aims to shape and instil a strong and harmonious family institution (with the students and their families) because educational institutions play a role in producing a brilliant generation who will serve the country and community in the future,” said Principal Hjh Rosni. She also extended her appreciation to Fitness Zone for being a part of the centre’s Family Day event.

“I used to be a student so I know how important it is at this stage, sixth form, for them to really know what they want for their future. Family and exercising is very important and they are very connected. It is important for families to be together toward a healthy lifestyle and also to be together,” said Chun.

The event concluded with a closing ceremony where participants were given certificates of appreciation as well as a session with Wu Chun where students asked him health-related questions.
